With more than 500 school boards in Michigan, we’re in need of passionate candidates across the state to run for school board in 2024. If you’re interested in learning more about running for school board please reach out to Kevin Johnson, Recruitment and Training Organizer.
GLPA-LEAD is offering a number of virtual trainings that are specifically designed for school board candidates and those looking to support school board campaigns.
School Board Messaging
The training will be led by Rust Belt Rising’s Paul Kendrick. This training will cover school board messaging, how to persuasively handle controversial issues in education today
As a 501(c)4, GLPA-LEAD is required to charge for candidate trainings. The training fee for this virtual training is $10. If cost is a barrier, please let us know as there are scholarship opportunities available. The $10 fee can be paid at this link.
